  Overview: Recycling Inkjets

This fund-raiser program is designed for each of us to collect and recycle used & empty inkjet cartridges from local recycle displays, businesses, and friends. Instead of discarding these plastic cartridges in the trash, that eventually end up in our landfills, they get recycled as a fund-raiser for Windstar.

There is NO COST to participate. Greenfund Network pays for every acceptable cartridge returned by us.

  • Acceptable cartridges are defined as: Those that test positively; are not cracked and the head is not damaged.

    We can return many varieties of inkjet cartridges. If you have questions about the program, or if you are interested in recycling laser cartridges contact Laurie Kern for more information.

  • How to sign up:


  • 1. Go to the Greenfund Network: Click Here

    You'll see a Web Form asking you for input to join.
    Enter your own personal information for most things, except for the following fields:
    • Organization Name: Enter Same
    • Organization Type: Enter Nonprofit
    • # of Employees: Enter N/A
    • # of Students: Enter N/A
    • How did you hear about Greenfund Network: Enter Referral from current member

      • Lastly, but very importantly, answer this field:
    • Are you donating these cartridges on behalf of another organization: Enter Yes


      • Check your work to make sure the fields are correct, and then press the Join! button.
      The WebSite will present you with a simpler, second form, which is shown after this form. Go to Step 2.




  • 2. After You clicked Join!, you'll see a second, simpler form:

    Enter the following information:

    • When you are satisfied the information is correct, click Join!




      • You should receive information from the Greenfund Network in approximately ten days. Use it to order bags and/or supplies. We recommend getting the postpaid bags, as it requires the least amount of work on your part.
  • We can also recycle Laser Jet Cartridges with a different display. Please request information on the laser cartridge recycling
  • There is Absolutely No Cost to Participate!
    ( The Greenfund Network pays all postage and/or shipping charges.)

    Each Person having 10 Participating Locations where a Windstar Inkjet Stand is located
    Each Display Generates 5 Reusable Cartridges per month    ...

    Windstar will receive $5,000 a month


 What One Person Can Do

  • Ask your local computer and office supply stores, and others you can think of if you can place a display dispenser in their store.

  • Ask your friends if they work somewhere that might be interested in putting up a display.

  • Set up the dispenser where the people would like you to.

  • Each display contains 200 Postage paid envelopes. People visit the places where you have placed displays. They get a Prepaid envelope from the dispenser, take the box from the new cartridge place the old cartridge in the box. Place the cartridge and box into the prepaid envelope seal the envelope and drop it in the mail.

  • There is No Extra Work For You or your Connection Group to do!
    This is a fundraiser that works with a minimum of time invested.
    All you need to do is check back, make sure there are envelopes in the dispenser, and refill it when it runs low.
