Constitution
- The group is called the “Windstar UK Connection.”
- The aim and objectives of the group are to raise awareness that there is a better way to care for the world in which we live. This will be achieved by providing environmental and educational awareness. The Windstar UK Connection is a non-profit making group financed entirely through donations and fund raising activities.
- Membership is open to all people who support the aims and objectives of the Connection. The Annual Membership Fee currently is £10.
- Membership will entitle each member to be kept informed of events organised by the Connection.
- Members will also be entitled to vote on issues considered by the Connection President to be central to the running of the connection.
- Renewal of membership is required annually.
- All members agree to have their personal details (including addresses and telephone numbers) held on the computers used in association with Windstar UK Connection Constitution group matters. Members’ names and addresses may be disclosed to the Windstar Foundation for information only, personal details will not be disclosed to other members without permission.
- Connection members must sign a copy of the Windstar UK Connection Constitution as having read and understood it and must comply with the constitution at all times.
- No alternations to the constitution may be made except at a General Meeting of the Connection. A two thirds majority of all members will carry the vote.
- Every Connection member must also be a member of the Windstar Foundation
- The connection is administered by the current President with assistance from volunteer members. No one receives any payment.
- An A.G.M. will be held each November or at a time agreed by the members.
- The Windstar UK Connection may be dissolved provided that all members have been informed of the decision in writing not less than thirty days prior to dissolution.
- Any member who wishes to participate in the administration of the Connection may offer to do so at any time. Any such offers will be considered according to the skills of the volunteer and the needs of the Connection at the time.
- The President shall retain financial authority for day-to-day expenditure of the connection.
- Cheques will be signed by two connection members; one of the signatures must be either the President or the Treasurer.
- Each year a summary statement of accounts will be sent to all members.
- The Connection is unable to accept responsibility for any expenses incurred by a member or his/her guest as a result of attendance at, or travel to or from, any event organised by or in the name of The Windstar UK Connection
- Membership Fees will be agreed at the A.G.M.
- In the event of dissolution, any assets of The Windstar UK Connection will be:
- Firstly used to pay any outstanding debts which may exist at the time of dissolution.
- Then any remaining assets will be donated to the Windstar Foundation or its successor.
