Windstar in Schools is an exciting new environmental educational programme which is currently being introduced to the UK. Science, games, art, drama and music are all part of a curriculum designed to inspire care and concern for the Earth in children between the ages of 5 and 11. Designed by educators and delivered by volunteers it forms part of the wider EARTHcamps Programme and can be delivered within term time as part of the curriculum, as an after school activity or as an exciting summer camp.
Delivered by volunteers from the local community, as part of the curriculum. Each session lasts approximately an hour, additional material can be added or removed to suit the individual needs of the Children.
Similar to EARTHcamp in Schools but designed to be delivered after school within term time.
EARTHcamp takes the form of a two day, or week long summer camp, run outside term time, either over a weekend or during the week, presented in an atmosphere of traditional summer camp spirit, fun and camaraderie it is a unique camp for children that fosters a love and respect for the EARTH that lasts a lifetime.
We are currently recruiting schools, volunteers and the support of local businesses to sponsor programmes.
